Barriers were made to be broken. The activity developed by the João Cardiga Equestrian Academy in Barcarena is a prime example of this, strictly adhering to its adopted motto: "Equestrianism is for everyone." This even applies to those who do not own a horse or grapple with physical or intellectual limitations and, integrated into the school's programs, benefit from the therapeutic contribution of interacting with horses. And it all started more or less by chance.
