The João Cardiga Equestrian Academy will open the 2024 sporting season with the 1st OPEN, to be held on Sunday, February 4th, starting at 2:00 PM, at its facilities in Barcarena, Oeiras. Registrations for the LEVEL tests must be done at www.gira.io.

The Cardiga Equestrian Circuit, now in its 5th edition, is open to all practitioners and/or athletes, with or without disabilities, considered fit by their trainers. Dressage, Pony Dressage, Paradressage, and Special Olympics Dressage (athletes with intellectual disabilities) tests will be held.

"The sporting Circuit has the usual support of various entities and companies such as; CPEClínicas Oeiras, Horsefire – Equestrian Articles, O Mundo da Equitação, Oeiras Valley, PIN Boxes, Celeris Boots, Culto da Imagem, Equigolden, and Vila Galé Hotels, which contribute to the prestige of this sporting circuit through the important prizes offered in the Final," stated the Academy's management.

Maria Cardiga also stated that; "Over these 4 years, the Cardiga Circuit has already allowed more than 600 practitioners the possibility of participating in an equestrian circuit and experiencing the challenges of competition. The 'amateur and inclusive' nature of these tests allows for the participation of a wider variety of practitioners and athletes, with or without special needs, in addition to offering an opportunity for beginners, stimulating their taste for the sport."

The next OPEN is scheduled for March 10th.
