Cardiga Equestrian Circuit

What is this?

An inclusive competition, started in 2020, consisting of 6 to 8 rounds, called “OPENS EQUITAÇÃO” and a FINAL. The competition includes the disciplines of Dressage, Pony Dressage, Paradressage and Special Olympics Dressage.

With what objectives?

  • Create an Equestrian Sports Circuit, respecting the spirit of the Academy's signature (Riding for All), accessible to all practitioners;
  • Provide equal opportunities, even to practitioners who do not have their own horse. On this circuit you can do it with a horse from the Schools;
  • To assess the training being given to practitioners, through the evaluation of national judges;
  • Provide our practitioners, and practitioners from other Municipalities and Equestrian Centers, with opportunities for competition and socialization, contributing to the dynamics of sport;
  • To encourage practitioners to practice competitive equestrian sport, prioritizing respect for the rules, respect for others, fair play, good manners and knowing how to accept the result, as enshrined in Annex 1 of the FEP regulations

The Cardiga Equestrian Circuit began its 1st edition on February 2, 2020.

This is a sporting event, composed of 9 legs, designated as EQUESTRIAN OPENS, and a FINAL, with the following main objectives:

To create a Sporting Equestrian Circuit, respecting the spirit of the Academy's motto (Equestrianism For All), accessible to all practitioners, with and/or without physical or intellectual disabilities;

To assess the training being given to practitioners through the evaluation of external Judges;

To provide our practitioners, and practitioners from other Municipalities and Equestrian Centers, with opportunities for competition and socialization, contributing to the sporting dynamic;

To provide equal opportunities in this sporting area, even to practitioners who do not have their own horse. In this circuit, they can do so with a school horse;

Finally, to encourage practitioners towards competitive equestrian sports, prioritizing respect for the rules, respect for others, fair play, knowing how to behave, and knowing how to accept the result, as enshrined in Annex 1 of the FEP regulations.
